Stop Posting Just to Post

Curating a cohesive Instagram feed with engaging content is no simple task. How do brands make their feeds flow so well? How do they know what to post and when? Do you sometimes feel as if you are posting just to post? Well, stop, and start thinking ahead. One simple solution is to always have your next post in mind.

The goal is to have individual posts look independently stunning, and coincide well with other posts. Keeping your Instagram aesthetic consistent and engaging. To do this, you must think ahead! For instance, if you are going to post a very “busy” looking picture, then plan for your next post to be simple yet still significant. Also, consider corresponding colors.

The more you think ahead and plan the more you will see your Instagram strategy come to light. A few of my favorite curated feeds: Rifle Paper Co., Madewell (and love the way Madewell creates captions), Vitruvi and Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants.
